So called democracy

I'm upset seeing my boyfriend watch the news about the violent demonstrations in iran, hearing how 2000 soldiers or some kind of mercenaries have been flown in to beat up civilians protesting for nothing but the right for a fair election.

I'll cite my boyfriend as he said " where is the United Nations in all this? There's not even anything mentioned on their web site!"

True, I didn't think about it - probably as I'm not following it as actively yet.

I gave up caring about politics all too much years ago as its upsetting frustrating and motivated by greed. We need a economic breakdown, so the entire monetary system collapses. As long as the system works for a few - mainly rich and powerful people, the system will be kept in motion.

Democracy has never been an equal right of freedom for all citizens, nor has it represented "the people" though it came from the people. Democracy is used as a tool, like religion to keep our minds appeased our perspectives attuned to what "they" want us to focus on. It's a way to be coerced without any moral concerns. As long as we think we have a democracy, we won't complain.
Media keeps us focused on making money in order to spend it on everything we should have and should desire. It's the norm and works for the herd.

Ideologies are also used to keep us busy so we don't focus on problems at hand, especially niched ideologies. They keep us s focused on our one goal that we forget about what else is fucking up around us.
Media is very good at keeping us focused on the goals they deem as newsworthy.
When the war in Iraq for weapons of self destruction started, we forgot about third world countries in the media for the great part.

I remember, but this is my recall, that the genocides in Sudan only came to the general awareness when some fashion designers started wearing the "Save Darfur" t shirts. I'm not negative toward any encouragement but I'm negative towards how we're always channeled to focus on one main big issue and not to think on our own.

Democracy is a tool of coercion - like religion, but it is non dogmatic and harder to define and point out where the demarcations are between right and wrong.

It's all just motivated by greed. We need more Pirate bay communities. More subversion from the parties not motivated by greed.

good night!

6 year old Pranav Veera with an IQ of 176!

I'm possibly back!
I've met a guy, who swept me off my feet - actually he took me to Italy - Amalfi, Napoli & Roma and I am completely infatuated with his personality - so I've been occupied - in a good way.
I hope I can get my midn off him and write something more interesting here soon.

For now, I just wanted to share this:

Pranav has the IQ of 1 in a million. Not even Einstein managed this :D
Einstein's IQ is estimated to approx. 160 - and Einstein was the older sibling - so there :D
As Borat would say: "Hi Faiiive buddiii!"
Being the first born male has paid off for Pranav!
I hope his parents nurture whatever he wants to do later on.

And for us less gifted people - remember, we don't need to feel bad, because being more intelligent, doesn't mean you will make more money!

Benefits of Aloe Vera

I recently started an Aloe Vera group on facebook called Forever Living Stockholm and I'd like to share some info here too. I've been drinking Aloe Vera for nearly a year and my life has changed miraculously since then.
I am not allergic to cats anymore. This was my worst allergy and I could only be around cats for an hour on medication before starting to rash, sneeze etc., my pollen allergies have disppeared and I have no stomach problems anymore that I dealt with on a daily basis. I'm not guaranteeing nor saying that you will have the same results, but it is worth trying!

For those lookng for information about the benefits of Aloe Vera, here's something I put together for my Aloe Vera group!

Despite there being over 200 species of Aloe vera plants only 4, have nutritional value. The most nutrition is found in Aloe Barbadensis Miller, which is used in Forever's organic products.

Vitamins
A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E, Folic Acid and Niacin are found in Aloe vera. Our body cannot store some of these vitamins and we need to supplement them regularly through our diets.
All important vitamins are in Aloe vera apart from D, and Omega fats. The antioxidants are C, E and beta-Carotene.

Amino acids
there are 20 amino acids vital for our health, Aloe Vera contains 18 of them and apart from that 7 of the 8 essential amino acids that our body can't produce and we get from food and fluids.
Each of the essential amino acids are available in Aloe Vera and they include leucine, tryptophan, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, isoleucine and valine. Some of the other non-essential amino acids found in Aloe vera include alanine, arginine, asparagine, cysteine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, proline, serine, tyrosine, glutamine, and aspartic acid

Aloin
is a natural laxative. Processed Aloe vera Gel does not have a significant amount of Aloin and aids as a digestive help.

Mannan
is a plant polysaccharide and studies have shown that it improves our immune system and overall health.

Lignin
is a cellular-based substance that is in Aloe Vera Gel. It acts as a transporter for other substances in our body.

Saponin
is a phytochemical and has a cleansing and antiseptic effect on our colon.
Plant sterols are known for their stimulation of cell build up.

Enzymes
Aloe Vera contains a large amount of enzymes such as lipase (splits lipids) and protease and aid our digestion.

Interesting Facts about vodka

Now I'll feel like Martha Stewart, but I love when I get mails like this one ;)

1. To remove a bandage painlessly, saturate the bandage with vodka. The stuff dissolves adhesive.

2. To clean the caulking around bathtubs and showers, fill a trigger-spray bottle with vodka, spray the caulking, let set five minutes and wash clean. The alcohol in the vodka kills mould and mildew.

3. To clean your eyeglasses, simply wipe the lenses with a soft, clean cloth dampened with vodka. The alcohol in the vodka cleans the glass and kills germs.

4. Prolong the life of razors by filling a cup with vodka and letting your safety razor blade soak in the alcohol after shaving. The vodka disinfects the blade and prevents rusting.

5. Spray vodka on wine stains, scrub with a brush, and then blot dry.

6. Using a cotton ball, apply vodka to your face as an astringent to cleanse the skin and tighten pores.

7. Add a jigger of vodka to a 12-ounce bottle of shampoo. The alcohol cleanses the scalp, removes toxins from hair, and stimulates the growth of healthy hair.

8. Fill a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle with vodka and spray bees or wasps to kill them.

9 Pour one-half cup vodka and one-half cup water into a Ziploc freezer bag and freeze for a slushy, refreshing ice pack for aches, pain or black eyes.

10. Fill a clean, used mayonnaise jar with freshly packed lavender flowers, fill the jar with vodka, seal the lid tightly and set in the sun for three days. Strain liquid through a coffee filter, then apply the tincture to aches and pains.

11. To relieve a fever, use a washcloth to rub vodka on your chest and back as a liniment.

12. To cure foot odour, wash your feet with vodka.

13 Vodka will disinfect and alleviate a jellyfish sting.

14. Pour vodka over an area affected with poison ivy to remove the urushiol oil from your skin.

15. Swish a shot of vodka over an aching tooth. Allow your gums to absorb some of the alcohol to numb the pain.

electronics-brand.com scam

I got a mail from my uncle yesterday, saying:

Dear friend:
i would like to introduce a good company who trades mainly in electornic products. Now the company is under sales promotion, all the products are sold nearly at its cost.Original Products + Best Quality + Brand New + Warranty + Quick Shipping + 100% Secure . the price is a surprising happiness to you!It is realy a good chance for shopping., please contact them as soon as possible!!!!

The web address: http://www.electronics-brand.com

I was wondering if he sent it out to his entire friends list as it had a "spammy" nature and was far too promotional in content.

Turns out he didn't send this mail to us.

I've asked him to run an anti virus/spyware scan and check what he has on his computer.
Searching online, some people have already been ripped off.

Looking at the website, I get skeptical just seeing things saying "100% REAL, AUTHENTIC IPHONE"

Clicking on Paypal verified, Protected by Verisign, SSL secured brings me to the start page

Anyway, if anyone stumbles on this post looking for info and can contribute with more, leave a message.

Removing relationship status on facebook

Dear Facebook,

I have mailed you three times about this (and other numerous points..)
When people remove their relationship status and don't tick the box "do not post a news feed when i remove information from my profile", it shows up like this

Obviously and most commonly, people remove their status as they don't know if they feel comfortable sharing this information and having people asking, but it's even more embarrassing when other people assume that your relationship ended whatever it was - or how shit it was, due to no longer

Fixez-le s'il vous plaît

The quick fix: Go into Settings > News feed and wall > Uncheck the box "Remove Profile Info" under Actions visible to friends

Best regards,
Jasmin Fischer

We just need WIFI and really just want access

I read an interesting article about the iPhone.

I remember being quite excited about the iPhone, but to my "Scandinavian" disappointment, the first one wasn't 3G as was quite early announced. I've never understood why America has been far behind Asia, and Europe when it comes to mobile phone technology, but it's nothing I've contemplated about, nor care to discuss at this point.

As expected and confirmed in this article, the hype about the iPhone lasted a few months and died drastically. I remember Sami actually telling me that ironically the iPhone is all about wireless connectivity, but yet to update it or transfer contacts, one presumably needs to use a cable to transfer contacts and certain data to a computer.

One thing mobile companies will ahve earned, is that the iPhone had all the software. It's like all the widgets for the mac that i can spend hours browsing through, downloading and trying it out. It was even one of the most enticing reasons for me to buy a macbook to start with apart from the amazing GUI.
Small programs that give you direct access to what you want, when you want, are very enticing.

As Martin Lorentzon from Spotify said it - and he said it best: "people are all about having access to what they want, when they want it." Ownership and material properties have changed drastically. I can't remember when I last bought a cd. i don't think I ever will again. I don't want CDs - I consider them clutter. I want access to everything I need.
I'm pretty happy as long as I have WIFI available. I can organize and find the software that will help me achieve my goals with WIFI, my macbook, Remote Desktop Connection and my phone and nifty applications/software like Spotify or Rebtel.

Rebtel is another thing I love. It minimalizes me to using my phone instead of Skype and a computer.

Reduce hardware, make it universally acceptable (not depenidng on brand or platform)- or minimalize steps to achieve goals and make it cost efficient and you've got yourself a damn good business.

"Seeing", "dating", and the "date"

I made some linguistic fuss a week ago when my friend Alex and Marcus referred to Christian and I as dating and said that we're not dating but - (casually) seeing each other.
They asked what the hell the difference is. Dating for me entails the notion of some kind of a pre-commitment. You're not sure if you want a relationship or its simply too early to judge. Basta!

My connotation of the word date, which refers to a singular event that generally ends after a couple of hours, can result in having 5 dates within a week with 5 different people, with no one pointing fingers.

Seeing and dating is harder to separate, but the general notion of your friend X saying i'm seeing person A and I'm seeing person B, might raise an eyebrow or two, but as long as you ahven't really set the rules for which game you're playing, you're not guilty of anything.

Datingin my oppinion, refers to events with the same person taking place over a certain span of time.

If you're dating more than one person, I'd probably ask what your intentions are, as the word alone, entails some kind of an emotional commitment to me.

Dates, which connote, as the concept of inviting someone out when there is a specific intention or motivation to fulfill some certain purpose (yes, I'm stigmatizing men and thinking of causal sex :D ), generally with a short sighted goal in the beginning of that date period, can lead to seeing someone if you like them and enjoy their company or even dating.

I didn't check any definitions online as I wanted to be as subjective and unbiased about this. I'll do so now instead :D

Happy weekend folks!

An odd animal friendship

I'm not surprised this could happen, but I'm still incredibly touched by this bond between an elephant and a dog, especially as they didn't grow up together.
