So called democracy

I'm upset seeing my boyfriend watch the news about the violent demonstrations in iran, hearing how 2000 soldiers or some kind of mercenaries have been flown in to beat up civilians protesting for nothing but the right for a fair election.

I'll cite my boyfriend as he said " where is the United Nations in all this? There's not even anything mentioned on their web site!"

True, I didn't think about it - probably as I'm not following it as actively yet.

I gave up caring about politics all too much years ago as its upsetting frustrating and motivated by greed. We need a economic breakdown, so the entire monetary system collapses. As long as the system works for a few - mainly rich and powerful people, the system will be kept in motion.

Democracy has never been an equal right of freedom for all citizens, nor has it represented "the people" though it came from the people. Democracy is used as a tool, like religion to keep our minds appeased our perspectives attuned to what "they" want us to focus on. It's a way to be coerced without any moral concerns. As long as we think we have a democracy, we won't complain.
Media keeps us focused on making money in order to spend it on everything we should have and should desire. It's the norm and works for the herd.

Ideologies are also used to keep us busy so we don't focus on problems at hand, especially niched ideologies. They keep us s focused on our one goal that we forget about what else is fucking up around us.
Media is very good at keeping us focused on the goals they deem as newsworthy.
When the war in Iraq for weapons of self destruction started, we forgot about third world countries in the media for the great part.

I remember, but this is my recall, that the genocides in Sudan only came to the general awareness when some fashion designers started wearing the "Save Darfur" t shirts. I'm not negative toward any encouragement but I'm negative towards how we're always channeled to focus on one main big issue and not to think on our own.

Democracy is a tool of coercion - like religion, but it is non dogmatic and harder to define and point out where the demarcations are between right and wrong.

It's all just motivated by greed. We need more Pirate bay communities. More subversion from the parties not motivated by greed.

good night!
